The aim of the study was to investigate features resistance formation in Burkholderia pseudomallei quaternary ammonium compounds, as well analyze its influence on development antibiotic resistance. Materials and methods . 10 strains melioidosis causative agent with typical cultural morphological properties have been studied. selection variants resistant benzalkonium chloride carried out by successive passages a dense nutrient medium addition disinfectant increasing concentrations. determination sensitivity performed through serial dilutions agar, antibacterial drugs from groups sulfonamides, β-lactams tetracyclines – using disk diffusion method. Statistical processing obtained results conducted help Microsoft Excel 2019 software. Arithmetic mean values errors were calculated. significance differences between parameters determined applying Student’s t-test. Results discussion All parental showed similar degree compound most susceptibility antibiotics tested. Cultivation B. led an increase this disinfectant. In addition, level all studied found. data collected revealed significant correlation change emergence amoxicillin/ clavulanic acid ceftazidime. It found that melioidosis, natural high chloride, has potential for developing compound, which is practical importance disinfection regimens quarternary compounds. For first time, direct decrease amoxicillin/clavulonic ceftazidime demonstrated.
